A double-sided canvas fan flag pairs a tribute scene of soldiers saluting at sunset with the words “With Honor and Respect” framed by red poppies. He never talks about what he saw over there, but hanging this by the door each November says the thank-you he would never ask for himself.
Daughters and sons who still can’t get Dad to open up about his service hang this by the front door every November, right next to the flag he already flies year-round.
