That grin is pure Akita, Santa hat and striped scarf included, set against the stars and stripes of a patriotic Merry Christmas garden flag. Akitas pick one person and stay loyal for life, and if you are that person, this is your thank-you for every walk through the snow.
Mom usually does the porch while the Akita supervises, and this flag finally puts the supervisor in charge of the front yard for Christmas.
